creating, teaching, and sharing handmade eye candy
All about little old me
Hi there! I am Amy! I am a mother to 9 amazing children in my blended family and I have 8 grandchildren! I spent the majority of my life as a Stay at Home Mom and I LOVE IT! I am still at home caring for my adult son with Autism, and my husband who has Huntington's. I too am a Zebra living with 3 rare disorders. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and Dysautonomia. The Zebra is the mascot of those living with rare disorders because medical students have been taught for decades that, “When you hear hoofbeats think horse, not zebra.” In other words, look for the more common and usual, not the surprising or rare diagnosis.
I am a also a woman who has been dabbling in art my entire life. I eat sleep and breathe it. I love all mediums but ink is truly what has captivated my heart! I have been a designer and teacher in the crafting industry for 21 years and counting!
I can't wait to keep playing in this medium I love so much and to share with all of you all that I know. I love teaching and sharing and most importantly helping others understand the importance of taking time out for themselves to feed their creative souls.
